Complimentary Indian food is widely reported at 75 room nights or more. This is the single most-cited number in the South Asian destination wedding market and should be confirmed in writing on every contract.
Outside vendor fees apply and vary by vendor category. Confirm the current schedule with the wedding office.
These are the questions that decide whether a wedding works, and the ones a resort brochure never answers. Where a switch is off it means we have not confirmed it, not necessarily that it is forbidden. Ask us and we will get it in writing.
Whether the property can build or accommodate a mandap, and in which venues.
A very small number of properties permit a ghodi on site. Karisma includes one as standard; most do not.
Almost always permitted, but with a hard curfew that varies by property and by which venue you are in.
The most commonly refused request. Some properties allow a contained agni with a fire plan, others prohibit it outright.
No onion, no garlic and sattvic menus are solvable everywhere, but only when raised at contracting.
Several of the best-marketed South Asian packages sit at adults-only resorts. Count the children on your list first.
Moon Palace is the most referenced single property in South Asian destination weddings, and for good reason. Eleven wedding venues, eight ballrooms, capacity for 300 guests, an on-site golf course, a nightclub for the after-party, and twenty minutes from the Cancun terminal.
We have run two weddings here. A Hindu wedding for 175 guests, with roughly fifty flying from London, twenty from the USA and seventy-five from across Canada, with private airport transfers and exclusive check-in, a Sangeet and Mehndi night in one of the ballrooms, the ceremony at the Toucan Gazebo with the Pandit Ji flown from Canada, lunch at the Toucan Terrace and the reception in the largest ballroom. And an intimate Sikh wedding for 75, with the Anand Karaj in the Bougainvilla Gazebo and the reception in the grand ballroom.
What makes Moon Palace work is not the beach. It is that the events team has done this often enough that nothing surprises them.
Cancun International (CUN) is served nonstop from New York, Newark, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. For groups splitting across three or more origin cities, a group air contract usually beats individual bookings on both price and change flexibility.
